Spring Awakening

Cast of Spring Awakening

Morganna Bridgers (Wendla) Morganna is ecstatic to be a part of Spring Awakening! She fell in love with the show in 2007, and she thought she'd age out of it before she had the opportunity to be in it! It's such a thrill to be given the opportunity to rediscover that teenage angst and uncertainty. Thank you to Carson, Justin, and Chiaki for the opportunity, and this beautiful cast for being an amazing ensemble.

Max Korn (Melchior) Max is ecstatic to return to City Stage!  A 2010 graduate of Elon University’s B.F.A. Musical Theater program, his recent professional credits include Tim Cratchit in Tim and Scrooge (Open Space Café Theater), Gordon/Roger u/s in Rent (City Stage), Bobby in Company, and Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka (CPCC).  He would like to thank his wonderful Korntourage for loyally following and supporting him wherever he goes!

Robin Hume (Anna) Robin is so excited to be back on stage after way too long a break!  She was most recently seen as Dolly in The Threepenny Opera last year at City Stage, and the year before as Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Spring Awakening is one of her favorite shows, and she is thrilled to be working with such a talented group of people!  Thanks so much to my best friend and love, David, for putting up with me through another show, and for being a good sport about me playing a teenager... again (cradle robber).

Eddie Waters (Hanschen) Eddie is excited to be making his City Stage debut in not only one of his dream roles, but in his dream show as well. Originally from Fayetteville, NC, Eddie is currently pursuing a BA in Theatrical Performance at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. A few of his past credits include Angel Dumott Schunard (RENT), Joly (Les Miserables), Tootles (Peter Pan) and Rufus Valentine (Ain't She Sweet). Eddie would like to thank Carson and Chiaki for the opportunity and his friends and family for their (generally) constant support.

Erik Maasch (Otto) Erik is incredibly happy to be a part of City Stage's production of Spring Awakening. He was last seen on stage in The Full Monty. His past credits include The Modern Major General (Pirates of Penzance), Nicely Nicely (Guys and Dolls),  The Mysterious Man (Into the Woods), among others. He would like to thank the cast and crew for being amazing and making this a wonderful experience.

Patrick Basquill (Georg) Patrick is extremely excited to be working on such an awesome show with such an awesome cast. He was last seen as Ferdinand (The Tempest), other credits include Romeo (Romeo and Juliet), and Gaston (Beauty and the Beast). He is glad to have some time off from delivering pizzas. This is the first time he has been back at city stage in quite a while since he was brutally murdered on stage and he is thrilled. He would like to thank Carson, Chiaki, and Justin for the chance to be in this amazing show. He only hopes that one day, if he continues to drink his milk and take his vitamins, he too can grow up big and strong and wear ridiculously tight shirts like his friend, mentor, and financial advisor, Max. Now lets do this!

Lisa Bohbrink (Adult woman) Lisa Brown Bohbrink is thrilled to make her City Stage début in one of her favorite musicals.  She has recently appeared in Annie, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Narrator), Secret Garden and Fiddler on the Roof.  "Thank you Chiaki and Carson for giving me this opportunity to make Hannah and Emily jealous!"

Sophie Amelkin (Ilse) Sophie Amelkin is a senior at UNCW about to graduate with her Music Degree! Recent roles include "Polly" in the Threepenny Opera at City Stage, and the "Witch" in Hansel und Gretel with UNCW's Opera Outreach Program. She is thrilled to be a part of this production, one of her very favorite shows!

Jeramy Blackford (Mortiz) Jeramy Blackford is an Actor/Singer Songwriter living in the Raleigh, NC area.  He started on stage with musical theatre productions in high school and later transitioned to the big screen after college at North Carolina State University.  He's currently the co-writer of music for three independent films including 11:11, which filmed in Wilmington, NC in the Summer and Fall of 2011.  He is excited to be a part of the talented cast and crew of Spring Awakening.

Dylan Fowler (Ernst) Dylan is totes stoked about working with such a fine cast in Spring Awakening!! He has a feeling that after spending a while on this show, the bitch of living won't be so bad. Having performed in Wilmington for over 12 years, it's about time he gets to work on this fifth floor stage! Recent credits include Rolf in Thalian Association's "The Sound of Music" and Opera House Theatre Company's "Man of La Mancha" and "Hairspray". Many thanks to Chiaki, Justin and Carson for all that they do. Also to the loving 'rents that constantly support everything that makes me happy. Now let's rock out!!

Bryan Cournoyer (Adult man) Bryan is totally jazzed to be a part of this amazing cast and incredible production. He had such a blast working with City Stage last on The Full Monty and can’t wait to do it again.  From Memphis, TN to Wilmington by way of Los Angeles,  Bryan feels so grateful to be a part of the local theatre community. He would like to express verbosely his gratitude to Carson, Justin and Chiaki for this [another] opportunity, but a simple “thanks” would probably do. So, thanks again, gang.

Kaitlin Daniels (Thea) Kaitlin is so excited to make her City Stage debut as a member of the Spring Awakening cast! She just recently returned to the Port City after receiving her Bachelors in Vocal Performance and Theatre, and her Masters in Music Education from UNC Chapel Hill. She would like to thank Carson, Chiaki, and Justin for a great opportunity, the cast and crew of SA for their general awesomeness, and her family and friends for their love and endless support. Oh yeah...hey Dylan!

Taylor Wilkins (Martha) Taylor is currently attending University of North Carolina Wilmington as a freshman and loves it. She spends her time with Judy Greenhut and Michelle Reiff assisting the Theatre Dance Workshop classes and has pledged into the sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. She is very excited to have been given this great opportunity by Carson, Chiaki, and Justin to perform at City Stage with the cast of Spring Awakening.
